Keep Your Promises

I did NOT feel like waking up and going to Pure Barre this morning. At all. I kept trying to make excuses in my head while I was feeding Emma Kate about why I didn't have to go this am -- I was tired, I woke up kind of late, I'd just walk more later and do my dance cardio. Sound familiar?! I know I'm not the only one who just doesn't feel like it sometimes.

But, I made a promise to myself that I would go. And while my ego was trying to sabotage my efforts, I knew that I had to stick to my word and head out in the chilly fall air to get my tuck on. Even during class, I was still having quite a lot of chatter in my head {ugh, not this exercise; oh no my seat had nightmares about being on all fours for this booty killer; gosh this.is.taking.forever}. It was hard to focus at times! But, guess what? I feel AWESOME now. I am so glad that I started my morning at the barre and kept my promise to myself. Keeping your word, not only to your family, friends and boss, but to yourself, allows you to have a loving and trusting relationship with your body. It's important to be someone you can count on too.

And it wasn't just me not feeling it this morning. It was all of us. It's so nice to be toughing it out with such an awesome community of women that are strong and such an inspiration to just do it. We complain, laugh, sweat and LTB together and that's ALWAYS a great way to start a Monday.
