Fitness Trackers & Motivation

I'm baaack :) I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break filled with love and laughter and you know... presents. I mean, if you've been good, why not?!

Santa came :)

Santa came :)

Despite the hubs coming down with the flu {the whole shebang -- body aches, fever, cold sweats, cough, sore throat} and me running wide open making sure Christmas was perfect for our two littles, Christmas was great. I mean, Santa was very good to me. I got exactly what I hoped for... the fitbit charge! Of course, the best gift under my tree this year, was not just one, but two smiling, happy little ones. Oh what a beautiful sight that was! Our prayers have been answered and I'm thankful for that a million times every day.

Enough with that mushy stuff now... back to the fitbit. I'm so excited to have this daily fitness tracker that doubles as my watch and also vibrates and tells me who's calling when my phone rings. Very cool. I felt I needed this because even though I take a Pure Barre class nearly daily, I think I began sitting too much during the day and needed motivation to continue getting up and going on walks and just running up and down the stairs a few more times a day. Granted, most of my time sitting is spent feeding Emma Kate which is a have-to-do, but there are times when I'm just soooo tired and want to sit. Well, not anymore buddy! Now, I'm on the move and already got the satisfaction of my fitbit going crazy with vibrations and fireworks when I met my daily goal of 10,000 steps. So satisfying. I seriously ran around my house at 8pm to get those last 500 steps in. It's also a sleep tracker and boy, I am not a very restful sleeper it appears. But, one thing at a time... baby steps.

So, with my new fitness tracker and my new motivation, January 2015 is going to be the best month ever! I'm committed to going to Pure Barre to take a class every day I can, dancing with Tracy Anderson when I can't, having an Aloha moment every morning for 2 weeks and glowing green smoothies with Philosophie protein powder added in for a slimming protein boost the final 2 weeks of the month. My goal is to stop my habit of before-bed snacking, unless I'm truly hungry.

Love You.

Love You.

I will fit into my cute shirts again and lose some of these thighs. While I appreciate my body for making a gorgeous baby and carrying some extra weight for her nutrition and health, it's time to say goodbye. You served your purpose so now it's time to part ways :)

I'll detail more about this plan as January 1st grows nearer. I also have big plans to add a mommy section to the blog, so be on the lookout for that goodness!

Wishing you all lots of love and happiness! xoxo, Julie
