Describe Platform in 3 words or less: Intense, Energizing, Fun

Favorite part of Platform: For sure the cardio kicks and jumps in seat work

Traditional PB or Platform {You can only pick one!}: SO not fair! Cannot pick one. It's the total package of workouts in my opinion to have them both in my weekly routine - low impact, effective, calorie torching, intense, muscle building and muscle lengthening.

Traditional PB is "the smaller the better" but Platform is "the bigger the better" in regards to movement... why the difference? We want to increase heart rate and bigger movements help to do that. In a traditional class we isolate the smaller stabilizing muscles a lot which helps to build a strong foundation, once we have that foundation then we can recruit bigger muscle groups which increases our calorie burn. We've also added an awesome piece of equipment that challenges our PB clients to go deeper into the exercise and muscle. It's a good shock to the system that helps boost your metabolism.

Who's this class best suited for, in your opinion? Like traditional PB, Platform was created with everyone in mind, which means everyone can do it. There has been over a year spent in the development stages with lots of testing taking into account all bodies, injuries and ages.  We feel we have developed a new cardio class that can still appeal to everyone, but that doesn’t mean it is any easier :) We’re telling our clients that just like their first ever PB class, try Platform 2-3 times before you decide if it's for you or not.  It definitely takes a few classes to get the hang of the movements and the flow, just like a traditional class does.  The benefits are incredible and we are already beginning to see transformations in our clients who have been taking since we launched.

About Katie: I have been taking Pure Barre for 7 years and the technique continues to evolve and change all the time. I continue to grow my love and passion for this technique and now with a cardio aspect that has me just more excited than ever, can’t wait until everyone gets to see it for themselves, they are going to love it!
