Guess What Day It Is?!?!

Do you know what day it is?! It is my favorite day of the year and it's a messy, sticky sweet glorious one. Nope not National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, that's my other favorite. It's PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY DAY!!! {Insert fireworks}

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are the ULTIMATE comfort food for me. The soft bread, gobs of creamy peanut butter and a smear of grape jelly totally takes me back to that {almost} carefree little girl with messy hair and a sideways smile whose mom was right there eating one too. Total yummy nostalgia love.

But as I've grown and matured {cue: became boring}, my peanut butter and jelly sandwich has become anything but. My pb&j's evolution into a healthier snack and/or meal has really freshened up its classic roots. And by switching it up, I'm free to enjoy that comforting goodness on the daily without worrying about ooey gooey lb's adding up on my hips and thighs. Because that's just not cute when you're older. It's just not.

I feel like I am the guy in Forest Gump going on and on about the shrimp and the numerous ways to eat it. I'm definitely your girl for all things PB&J.
