The Pure Barre Pure Madness March 20 in 31 Challenge. Done.

April 1st. I thought I'd sleep in. Tucked cozy and tight in my big, fluffy bed waiting until my 8 mos old alarm sounded urging me awake. Instead, my Fitbit reminded me of my self-inflicted 4am wake up call so I can fit a bit of "me time" in my jam-packed days. Thinking of turning the pesky vibrating alarm off and rolling over to fall back into some much needed sleep, a little voice inside nudged me to get up, feed baby girl, put on my space dyes and sticky socks and make my way to the studio for 55 minutes of the day that is mine and mine alone. Pure Madness might have ended but for my newfound motivation, it was only the beginning.

Since the challenge began, I was begging for it to be over! Now that it's over and done with, I can't wait to put on my stickies and get tucking. What happened here?!

  • Feeling more at home in my body happened here. Wow, 4 lb's lost and tightening and toning all over. Hello summer body peeking through. Let's uncover the rest of you!
  • Feeling sustained energy happened here. Feeling lighter and more energetic is an awesome by-product of my month-long dedication to Pure Barre. Love having the energy to not only fit in my PB class, but also to play soccer in the backyard with my little guy and get my 15,000 or so steps on the daily walking with my sweet baby girl. Whoop whoop!
  • Feeling proud happened here. I made it happen. Even when it seemed entirely impossible to make it to class. I did it. And I worked harder every single class. What's that? You're saying your heels can't get higher, seat can't sink lower? Yes, yes it can. As my dad always said, "Can't never could, try did." Bam.
  • Feeling like a part of something bigger happened here. Oh my sweet PBFF's :) You constantly inspire me with your relentless determination and can do attitudes. You motivate me to make goals and keep tucking on. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many incredible women that make Pure Barre so much more than a place to exercise. You make it home. Not to mention how our PBLKN home came in 1st place across the nation for having the most number of challengers crush the Pure Madness Challenge... 129! So proud!
I did it! 20 classes done. Take that Pure Madness!

During the month of March, between taking and teaching, I was at the studio everyday but one maybe?! We had soccer, sickness, ER scares and I nearly suffered anaphylactic shock from a bee pollen incident {more on that later😮}, but I got up, dressed up, showed up and never gave up. I even got the hubs in trouble for being late to work because clearly, I couldn't miss my class... umm... hello, it's Pure Madness, all 31 days of it... you have broadcasts like every day {but really, sorry hun :-/ Whoopsie!}. Just when I thought I couldn't love Pure Barre anymore, March happened. And I survived. Way to rock it PBLKN!
