What I'm Loving Wednesday... Indulgence style!

Hi you guys! Happy new year! Woo-hoo 2016! Am I right?! This year feels so shiny, bright and promising. I could just hug it! I don't know about you, but I was definitely ready for a change. And there is definitely something about this new year - a new, clean slate to invigorate the soul and spirit. For me, it's not about limiting or restricting {no diets over here!}, but about the limitless potential and the abundance of goodness lying in the mundane day to day just ready to be discovered and celebrated for the beauty that it is. The small things deserve celebration and deserve to be noticed for they are... the building blocks of our lives. I've recently read somewhere to fall in love with the process, not the goal. Yea, let that sink in. Wow! Basically, if you love your life, if you love the work you're putting in and enjoy the natural process and order of things then your dreams will start coming true! No forcing, no pushing and no killing yourself required. Phew! What a relief right? So good. And what's life without a few indulgences here and there to keep lifting you up so you can keep raising the bar{re} and reaching for the stars?! I've definitely found some super favorite things lately that I think you'll love too! Check 'em out!

STITCH FIX // OMG! You guys knew this one was coming didn't you?! Wow, I am so excited, impressed and delighted to have finally taken the plunge and order my first box! I have been checking SF out for about 6 months now and going back and forth. Well, I decided a few weeks ago to just do it. And I LOVED IT. Not just like, not just "meh, whatevs," but like totally, 100% thank you sweet baby Jesus, Momma's got some cute new clothes and they aren't all leggings and sweatshirts finally kind of love. I'll just tell you, I suck at buying clothes. For one, Emma Kate screams. A LOT. This also happens when we shop. So, we do not spend extra time shopping. Sure, I'll pick up a cute something on the rack closest to the aisle at Target occasionally... only to get it home and its strange and tiny junior-fit does not fit this super awesome mom of 2 so I get to spend more time {with the screaming toddler} waiting to return it at customer service. Yeah, I know, there's online. I go online a lot and I fill my shopping cart up... but I never confirm my order. I'm like an online window shopper. Something about not knowing how it will fit and how it feels and I'm just ultimately like, no. Enter Stitch Fix. Hello my own personal stylist {like looking good is what she does for a living} with the cutest clothes around at her disposal that knows what I like because she looks at my pinterest. I love her. She knows me better than I know me evidently. I think we are pretty much virtual besties now. Oh, and just so you know, I kept everything she sent me in my first box. Everything. And got 25% off because of it. Super savvy shopper right here. If you're interested, here's a few things to know to get started:

  1. Start a clothes board on Pinterest: Pin your favorite outfits from pinterest and include the link to that board in your Stitch Fix profile. Your stylist will check this out to get a better feel of what you'll like!
  2. Be frank: Tell her that you hate flare pants or that animal prints and the color purple make you want to throw up. You won't get those!
  3. Budget: Stitch Fix lets you plan how often you get your box. You can get it every couple of weeks, each month, every other month or even every 3 months. And if you're feeling a little low on the cash flow, you can skip your fix with the click of a button at no charge!

This is definitely one indulgence that I'm keeping this year. My little Stitch Fix box of goodness delivered more than a few cute tops and distressed denim, it gave me an overall boost of happiness, confidence and a "you're worth it" attitude that I haven't felt in a while that my whole family benefited from. Happy wifey, happy life-y :) If you're interested in ordering a box of Stitch Fix happiness for yourself, click here and help support my newest obsession so I don't have to give up too many superfoods to get my fix. 🙈🙏

Organic tea and superfood chocolate-covered donuts, sounds like balance to me.

ALOHA TEA // Organic, eco-friendly, calorie-free cup of warm and cozy comfort at a reasonable price with tremendous health benefits to boot? Yes, yes and more yes. With a stocked cabinet full of tea and freezing cold temperatures outside, I keep reaching for the ALOHA again and again... with some Numi Gunpowder Green for good caffeinated measure ;) And I'm convinced that the Protect tea helped me kick the rest of my lingering cold to the curb. Yay for not feeling like throat-flaming death every morning I wake up! In honor of National Hot Tea Month, you can use promo code PBNJULIE to get 20% off your order {including the SUPERFOOD CHOCOLATE COVERED DONUTS} from ALOHA.

My official drink of GNO... the Winter White Cosmo at Bonefish. Yummy!

WINTER WHITE COSMO // White, sparkly and sinfully delicious, this cosmo at Bonefish Grill is killing it! So good! I first had it at a PB girls' night and it's officially become my GNO drink of choice. It's tasty and so pretty... which totally matters. Hello, presentation is EVERYTHING.

THE BACHELOR // Ahh! Such a guilty indulgence, but watching the train wrecks {uh, hi Lace!} and girl drama and big bird mouths has me excited for Mondays again! Are you watching?! PS... anybody else suddenly start craving a glass of wine during every episode?!

GREEN JUICE // Whatever, I love drinking this stuff. Not because I have to but because, seriously, the green ones taste the best to me. And, every time I start drinking them regularly, people compliment me on my glow. So, narcissistic as it may be, I'd drink it even if it tasted like swamp water now ha! Now, if only anyone has a tip for making it affordable to drink gallons on the daily?! Or at least once a day?! I'm all ears! I'm currently crushing on SUJA's Twelve Essentials one. So good!

You glow-getter you! Best natural mask for results and sensitive skin.

TATA HARPER MASK // I've been making a conscious effort to care more for my skin this year so I don't look old and dull haha Birthdays can have that effect! So, in comes exfoliation. Now, I have sensitive skin so I can't go overboard or I'll have more problems than I started with. So, I use this glow-getting mask once a week... Sunday night. Ahh, I love it. It smooths and softens my face and really does make it look fresh and glow-y! Yay for effective naturals!
