Wake up to Beautiful: "Beauty" Pebbles with Green Goddess Mylk

When I was little, I wouldn’t eat breakfast unless it had a cartoon character on the box or at least went snap, crackle and pop once the milk was poured. Maybe you can relate? Now, that I’m older, and dare I say a bit wiser, I still love a good bowl of cereal {like really, really love} but prefer to satisfy that craving in a way that loves my body right back. After all, even though Post has declared its Fruity Pebbles gluten free that doesn’t make it healthy. Do you even know what’s in that over-processed, neon-colored stuff? I checked it out and well, it’s not very pretty:

Turn your Yabba Dabba DON'T into a DO with these raw, vegan and gluten free "Beauty Pebbles" and get your glow on!

Rice: Processed and high-glycemic.

Sugar: Super refined and stripped of all vitamins and minerals; can lead to weight gain specifically in the abs, seat and thighs.

Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil: Read: trans fats.

Salt: Over processed and void of minerals.

Natural flavors: Something that can be found in nature... but you might not necessarily want to eat... like beaver butt secretion. Ew. Fun fact: The “natural beef flavor” in McDonald’s burgers is derived from milk and wheat. Go figure.

Artificial flavors: Can be made from more than 100 different chemicals to trick your brain into believing what you’re eating is the tastiest, freshest food ever. It’s addictive.

Red 40 and other artificial colors: Banned in many countries for being carcinogenic {cancer causing}. Also, may cause extreme hyperactivity in children. {I don't know which is worse haha!}

BHA: A synthetic chemical used to prolong shelf life of processed foods. Believed to be a human carcinogen.

Yuck, right? I know I do not want to wake up to that breakfast bowl of disaster no matter how much I loved it as a child. So, I decided to make my own grown-up version dubbed “Beauty Pebbles” to satisfy my cereal craving. Bonus: this cereal is so high in body-loving antioxidants it actually fights cancer-causing free radicals and makes you look good in the process. Check out these fab ingredients:
